Everything an estimate needs

  • Line items, tax and totals

Add products and services with quantities and prices. PaperPaid adds tax and totals for you. Saved items fill in names and prices as you type.

  • Approval and signature online

Your customer opens a secure link, confirms who they are, signs with a finger or a typed name, and approves. You get an email right away.

  • Deposits and payment schedules

Ask for a deposit as a percentage or an amount, or split the job into milestones. The deposit invoice goes out the moment the estimate is approved.

  • From estimate to invoice

Create the invoice from an approved estimate with one click, so nothing is typed twice. Contractors on the Business plan can also order the materials from it.

How it works

  1. 1

    Write the estimate

Pick the customer, add your items, choose a deposit if you want one.

  2. 2

    Send it

Your customer gets an email with a link and the PDF. You see when they open it.

  3. 3

    Get the yes

They approve and sign on their phone. Approved estimates are locked, so the signed numbers never change.

Questions and answers

Can I call them quotes instead of estimates?

Yes. Each business picks the word it uses, "Estimate" or "Quote", and every screen, email and PDF uses that word. You can change it anytime in Settings → Documents.

What happens if I change an estimate after sending it?

Editing a sent estimate stops the old link, and you send the updated version. If your customer had the old version open, they are shown the latest one before they can approve, so they always approve what they saw.

Can my customer decline?

Yes. They can decline from the same page, and you see it on the estimate.

Can a company approve the estimate?

Yes. The person approving can sign for themselves or on behalf of the customer's company, with their own name and title.
